KILL THE BILL! STOP TRUMPCARE
The many delays in Trumpcare's Senate advancement have imperlied its passage, but this struggle is far from over. Now, more than ever, it's important to stay engaged-- especially folks in places like Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio, Texas, Nevada, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Maine, Utah, Louisiana, Alaska, and Nebraska.

Find a #KillTheBill State Office Event in your area.
And/ or plan your own event.
2. TARGETED CALLS
The Senators listed below are potentially wavering. Do you live in one of these states, or know someone who does? If so, please urge locals to call every day this week. Copy, paste and tag your friends! Even though some have come out against the bill, it is still important to call and reinforce their votes, since their stated opposition could very likely be theatrics. They need to know how we feel.

SCRIPT (if you need it): "Hello. My name is _______. My zip code is _____. I don't need a personal response. I'm calling to express opposition to both versions of the Senate's health care bill. This bill would take away health care from millions of Americans, cut the Medicaid program, increase premiums for all but the young and wealthy, and allow states to get rid of protections for people with preexisting conditions. If you could pass my concerns along, I'd appreciate it." If you can, tailor your call to the particular situation your state faces vis a vis the legislation, and if you have a personal story to tie in, it's of great value if you'd care to include it. Be sure to thank the staffer for their time.

This is a chance not only to preserve Obamacare, but to throw a massive wrench in the works of everything the Republicans are trying to do. They've been campaigning on Obamacare repeal for years, and failure on this front will leave their base demoralized to a degree that bodes well for 2018 and beyond. Since repealing the ACA was supposed to be the easiest Congressional action of the year, this is an opportunity to stymie the right-wing agenda on a variety of fronts.
Please spread the word. Thank you!
