TELL THE GOP: TRUMPCARE TRANSPARENCY OR WE SHUT DOWN THE SENATE

Senate Republicans are trying to sneak through passage of the American Health Care Act (i.e. repeal and replace of Obamacare). Today we're urging Senators opposed to the AHCA to withhold consent on all Senate business until public debate is permitted and a CBO score is produced. In other words: if these underhanded GOP tactics continue, we shut down the Senate.

WHAT TO DO: Call your U.S. Senator. (If you have the time to visit in person or atend a protest event, please do so!)

"Hello. My name is _______. My zip code is _____. I don't need a personal response. I'm calling to express opposition to the American Health Care Act. I encourage Senator ________ to withhold consent for all Senate business until the Republicans allow public debate on the legislation and allow a CBO score to be released. If you could pass my concerns along, I'd appreciate it." If you have a personal story relating to any of the above legislation, it's of great value for the Senator to share during debate if you'd care to include it. Be sure to thank the staffer for their time.

Then tweet to your Senators: "Please WITHHOLD CONSENT ON ALL SENATE BUSINESS until the GOP allows a public debate/ CBO score for the AHCA. Thank you!"

This bill would take away health care from millions of Americans, cut the Medicaid program, increase premiums and allow states to get rid of protections for people with pre-existing conditions.
